SULLIVAN WINS 2006 CROWN

You have to put everything together, minimize your mistakes,  keep your fingers crossed and be very lucky if you hope to win an "Angler Of The Year Crown".   It helps to be a very good fisherman as well.

Before the 2005' season began, Kenny assured me that this was going to be a break out year for him.  He was already inspired and raring to go.  His third place finish at the 2005 Open Championship on Candlewood Lake in April was just a portent of things to come.

He followed that up with victories on Highland Lake and the Connecticut River and jumped out to a quick lead in the AOY race.  He stubbed his toe a bit on East Twin, but faster than a speeding bullet this super angler re-tied his cape and charged to a hard earned victory on Congamond Lake.

Consecutive second place finishes at the Masters Championship on Sandy Pond and the Double Trouble night tournament on Copake Lake all but eliminated half of the competition.  Only the usual suspects were left and that wouldn't be for very long.  Kenny was now firmly in charge of his own destiny.

While he did not win another tournament the rest of the way, he did post two top five finishes and coasted the rest of the way home winning the clubs coveted "Angler Of The Year" award.  From out of the blue to soaring with eagles, Kenny couldn't have written a better script if he tried.

Way to go Kenco...you done good.
