CUNNINGHAM CAPTURES '04
   ANGLER OF YEAR CROWN

Kenny Sullivan took another giant step forward in his quest for the 2005 "Angler Of The Year" crown with a victory on Congamond Lakes on June 11th.  Kenny and his partner Pat Xiques posted a five fish total weight of 13 lbs.,5ozs. to claim the championship in a hard fought; extremely close contest. It's beginning to look  a lot like its 'Kenco's' year.

At the half way point Kenny has 119 total points, Twenty three (23) points better than runner up and defending Angler of The Year, Kevin Cunningham.  Sullivan has posted 3 first and 2 third place finishes and a sixth in six events.  He can drop the sixth place finish at this point, a fact that is not lost on his fellow competitors.

Rounding out the rest of the "Top Ten" are four time Angler of The Year, Kevin Cunningham with 96 points.  Nine time Angler Of The Year, Ray Scully with 91 points. The team of Bill Slavis and Dave McLaughlin who are tied with 85.5 points comprise the rest of the "Top Five".

George Pepe, the 2001 Angler of The Year holds down the 6th position with 84 points, followed by the 2003 Angler Of The Year, Paul Ritchie who is in the 7th spot with 77 points.  John Tasousis is in 8th place with 76 points, Pat Xiques is in ninth with 71 points and Frank Ripp sits in 10th place with 69 total points.

There is still plenty of season remaining.  While Kenny has what some consider an insurmountable lead, anything can happen.  There is a lot of fishing left to be done and the anglers who are in pursuit are a savvy bunch of veterans who have been in these situations before.   The hunt is on...bring on the hounds...
