Atlantic Bassmasters was founded in 1989 and originally known as the 'G-Team Freshwater Anglers. The founding six members were Ray Scully, Dennis Scully, Dominic Lamanno, Mike Sweeney, Jim D'Alessio and Sal Bilotta . The club changed it's name to Southshore Bassmasters in 1995. then changed it to Atlantic Bassmasters in 1997. This coming year, 2012 We will be celebrating our twenty third year of, excitement, accomplishment and friendly competition. Atlantic is one of the few area clubs that offers its members a "Team Format" for all of our club tournaments, a concept our members enjoy. We are a club that travels quite a bit as we seek to offer our membership the very best tournament experience this side of a Federation Nation, Bassmaster or FLW event. Our travels have taken us to 'exotic' locations such as Lake Champlain, the Thousand Islands section of the St Lawrence River, Oneida Lake, Lake Winnipesauke, Sandy Pond, Chaumont and Little Sodus Bay, Saratoga Lake, the Potomac River, the Seneca River and the Mohawk River just to name but a few. We meet the first (1st) Tuesday of March, June & September at the Levittown VFW Hall in Levittown, N.Y. Meetings begin at 8 p.m. sharp. Stop bye and see us, you'll be glad you did. |
